What is Preventive Dentistry?

Preventive dentistry, as the name suggests, is care of the teeth and gums to ensure continued oral health...

Step Two: Teach Proper Care

After a good cleaning, the second step is showing you the proper methods for brushing and flossing. We will discuss the toothpastes, mouthwashes, and other products that will benefit you most. We will also discuss your eating, drinking, smoking, and other habits to help you understand how your lifestyle contributes to dental care and maintenance.

Step Three: Continue Care at Home

After leaving the office, the third step is to keep up your dental health and save that bright white smile. Be sure to follow the simple list discussed in the office: brush, floss, and rinse with mouthwash, usually twice a day. Schedule your six-month visits with us ahead of time so we can send you reminder cards.

Step One: Clean, Examine, and Treat

The first thing we do with a new patient is clean your teeth and gums thoroughly and conduct a careful exam. Our goal is to bring you up to good health by fixing any existing problems and then establish a regimen that you will follow to prevent any recurrence of dental problems.
